Today crisis of hour may be the breaking of human relationship. Today Breaking of human relationships may be interpersonal that is on the personal levels and may be the external personal that is on the community level. Friendship is breaking, Families are breaking, common notion of religions are breaking, communities are breaking, societies are breaking and even the Concept of Nations are breaking. The common thread of belongingness, fraternity is also breaking. Whatever we are seeing today in the society are the reflection of the people’s mind. Today’s people minds have become I, Me and Myself.
In today’s world it is very really difficult to maintain relationship and also to the relationship which we cherish already. Everyone has some or other hidden agenda to keep relationship. Today relationship is only for namesake. There are various criteria’s deciding to keep relationship with other people may be the person’s wealth or social status or occupational status or getting something from the person for any kind of personal gain. Even to get affiliation of Famous person so the other person can be recognized. This is the concept of relationship today. Even it is true for the blood relationship among the people. There is always a pinch of selfishness in the relationship today. People have become too much obsessed with the material wealth and status symbol in the society. I am not against the material progress of the Human but in the quest of the material and wealth, people have forgotten the simple human relationship. Ego and Greed rules today among the people. I am so and so what are you? Are some types of typical question asked by the people before making the relationship. Even this test now applies for friendship.
Take for instance the proverb 'a friend in need is a friend indeed' is converted in the practical sense of 'a friend in need is a friend in deed' .The meaning of the former is 'someone who helps you when you are in need is a true friend' and the later is 'someone who needs your help becomes especially friendly in order to obtain it'. This is very much true today. When the people are in friendship and when there is downfall of success or achievement or wealth or mental health of a person, there are very few people who withhold the friendship and most of the people will let go their friendship. Even taking advantage of emotions is common among the friends. So we can say when a person downfalls all their friendship too downfalls. Today the relationships have become artificial.
Today Deceit is found common among lovers, friends, and married couples and to some extent even among the family members. There is some sort of unsatisfactoriness among the above mentioned people. Even the lack of communication can lead to breaking of the relationship. Today people are very difficult to adapt and to cope up with the simple problems of the life they are living. The concept of mutual understanding is breaking and it is been replaced by the concept of independent understanding.
